Support Malaysia Healthcare System

As most of you realise, Dana is not a typical emergency relief group. We focus more on sustainability, women and children welfare and rural healthcare development.

A few weeks back, our founder received a SOS message from a reliable source in Malaysia asking for monetary help to support one of the Community Clinics in East Malaysia, which was in a very challenging and tough situation. It was described as a “war zone” with critical depletion of resources.

We urgently raised funds amongst our Dana members and sent RM 3000 to the corresponding group. With a joint force , we successfully made a significant impact on the local healthcare system. This is the message we received on the update :

“Thanks to Dana’s donation. We bought 2 new smart phones and started a virtual covid assessment center to assess patients through the phones. Patients were excited and very thrilled that we made significant changes and improvements. Through greater communication, patients are well informed on their next step and whom to contact.

We managed to assess 300-400 patients everyday with this new system. It helps to significantly reduce patients waiting time.

After all, the main purpose is to prevent Brought-In-Dead (BID) patients or patients coming in with severe conditions.

With the leftover money, we have purchased several large canvases to cover the sides of the tents in order to protect our patients and health workers from adverse weather. This is only possible thanks to your generous support. Thank you Dana Charity Group.”
